Blake Shelton celebrates his biggest hit yet as “God’s Country” reaches #1
Warner Music NashvilleBlake Shelton is starting the week with something to celebrate.
“Wow. ‘God’s Country’ is the #1 song at country radio this week and is already platinum,” he tweeted on Monday. “I can’t say thank you enough.”
“Who would’ve thought that almost 20 years into my career I’d have my biggest hit yet?” he continued. “I love y’all!!”
“Blown away by u! #Congrats!!” his girlfriend Gwen Stefani responded.
Blake’s label mate and “God’s Country” co-writer Devin Dawson marked the occasion by sharing a snapshot with HARDY the day they heard the final recording of their song for the first time, along with their other co-writer, Jordan Schmidt.
“Insanely grateful to have my first #1 as a songwriter with my best friends & family,” Devin added. “Thank you Blake Shelton and Warner Music Nashville!!! Love y’all!!!”
Devin himself made it to number two back in March of last year with another song he wrote, his debut single, “All On Me.”
