Gas Prices Down as Last-Minute Travelers Hit The Road for Labor Day
Feeling like you need to take a road trip, after all, this Labor Day weekend?
There’s some good and bad news.
First the good: According to AAA, gas prices are down. And experts note that they could hit the lowest levels in more than 15 years.
Now the bad: Lots more cars will be on the road. Estimates show 60% of Americans are traveling (“Road trip!”) over this holiday weekend.
“It’s entirely fueled by COVID-19 keeping people at home and away from filling their tanks,” said Patrick DeHaan, head of the price checking website GasBuddy.
