Morgan spent a few days in San Antonio, TX and Austin, TX to visit some of the stations The Bobby Bones Show is on.

While she was in town, she had very nice hotel accommodations, but she noticed something in her room that she had never seen before. On her nightstand was a note that said “_____ cleaned this room” along with a QR code indicating that if someone was satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, they could tip the room attendant. Morgan scanned the QR code and it showed up as percentages of what and how to tip.

She didn’t end up tipping because she only ended up being in the hotel room for a couple hours and didn’t leave any mess behind. However, she noted the note itself didn’t bother her, but it was surprising to see. She’s experienced a similar situation at Airbnbs, but never at hotels.

Bobby and Amy were ok with the note being left in the hotel, Amy added that it’s likely people had asked before how to tip the room attendants and so the hotel satisfied that request with these notes in each room. On the other hand, Lunchbox said the note should have never been placed in the room. He said when you buy a hotel room, you expect it to be clean. You don’t tip the room attendant for doing something that is expected. He also added that he would get tipped sometimes working at Dunkin’ and get agitated when people told him to keep the change, but he didn’t do anything to deserve the tip.

Would you tip a hotel cleaner? Morgan was in a hotel room and saw a QR code with the cleaning lady’s name on the card, when she scanned the code it gave her the option to tip.
