There’s a LOT of loose change left behind at the airports
The TSA is collecting almost one-million-dollars in loose change from airports around the country. Last year, JFK Airport collected the most loose change at 72-thousand-dollars, with Newark coming in fifth place by collecting 41-thousand-dollars. O’hare, was in fourth place with just under 50-thousand-dollars. Officials say the funds collected have not yet been used. In the past, the money was used to pay for checkpoint maintenance, PreCheck, checkpoint signs and other system enhancements.
