Tim McGraw’s First “Man of the House” Feeling Happened When He Was 11

Tim McGraw was asked to share a favorite Christmas memory, and he talked about a turning point in his young life.  McGraw was only 11; and his mom asked him to put together a doll house, for his two sisters.  His stepdad had left the family, by then.

Tim said, quote, “It was the first time that I actually got to participate and be the man of the house with my mom and put together all the Christmas stuff for my sisters.  And that was sort of a big graduating to a young man, in my eyes, thing for me.”
