Trisha Yearwood hopes to inspire “Every Girl in This Town” with new single
Gwendolyn RecordsTrisha Yearwood’s new country single, “Every Girl in This Town,” is coming your way on June 6.
Earlier this year, the two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year released Let’s Be Frank, her big band tribute to Frank Sinatra. This new song is the lead release from her new country album — her first recording of all-new material since 2007’s Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love.
“Making this album reminded me of making my first album in 1991 — a freeing feeling of just getting to be creative and not worrying about anything beyond just taking care of the music, finding the right songs and having fun in the studio,” Trisha tells People. “No pressure.”
“When I listen to the album, I hear the joy in my voice,” she adds. “It’s a great feeling to know you’ve done your best. Now, I float it out to the world. This is me!”
So far, there’s no word on when the full album will be out.
Trisha describes “Every Girl in This Town” as a “powerful” song that “set the tone” for the rest of the record, encouraging everyone to “dream big.” The cover of the single is a vivacious childhood photo of the Georgia native, standing on top of a picnic table with her arms outstretched.
This Saturday, Trisha launches the new season of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen on Food Network, the same day she hosts Trisha’s Tailgate ahead of husband Garth Brooks’ stadium show at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field.
