Wanna Go Carolling with Carrie Underwood? Ring It In… If It’s Not Re-Called
Carrie Underwood wants to see you sing – but only if you have a Ring video doorbell.
She posted a video on Twitter to ask her fans to record themselves, singing her new song “Favorite Time of Year” – but it’s got to be on their Ring.
Then you tag Carrie @Ring along with the [hashtag] #DoorbellSeason.
(Here are examples.)
But be careful. In the last week, Ring has recalled 350,000 video doorbells, because they can catch fire. CBS reports that the Amazon-owned Ring doorbells were sold in the U.S. and Canada. “When installed with the incorrect screws, batteries can overheat and ignite,” CBS reports – according to a recall notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
“The recall involves Ring Video Doorbell (second generation, model number 57M5E5) smart doorbell cameras sold at electronics and home goods stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and Ring.com from June through October. The retail cost of the product is about $100.”
